Hi Reader,
In what world do I get excited about buying a new iron?
Apparently THIS world because I just got a new Philips iron and it arrived!!!
Cue excitement!
This blue baby can hold 1.5L of water, has a filter (no more rust powder bursting out with the steam all over our clothes) and honestly...it's sexy!
I mean, you don't even have to adjust the temperature because it automatically adjusts to different fabrics!!
What sorcery is this!!??
I have NO idea how it does it, but it works and it makes ironing a whole heck of a lot easier & faster!
Truth be told, I worked our previous iron to the grave.
I had been avoiding buying a new one, because the old iron "worked ok", but it was actually on life-support and needed to be put out of it's misery.
It's funny how long we "make do" with something that doesn't really work all that well, but feels "good enough".
Kinda like my approach to emails in my business over the past 7 years.
I've basically broken every rule in the email book:
All. The. Things!
Sure, my emails are good (please let me know if you disagree), but they could use a tune up.
I mean, I want to make sure that they are fun, informative and something that you WANT flopping into your inbox, rather than ANOTHER boring ass email to scroll through.
That's why I decided to up my email game this year...and become an Email Star!
How?
I'm going to soak up all the gold nuggets that my new email mentor Tarzan Kay has to offer...free nuggets and paid gold as well.
Wait, who's Tarzan?
Tarzan Kay - if you haven't heard of her yet - is a BOSS when it come to email. And not like Michael Scott from The Office kind of boss *cringe*.
I mean...she's incredible at writing interesting emails that people can't help but open and enjoy AND emails that support business too!
In her own words from her site,
"We marketing-phobic online business owners and course creators promote themselves in an authentic way, so they can create meaningful connections and convert more customers."
To do this, Tarzan is hosting her free "The Email Workshops" over the next couple weeks and then opening the doors to her paid program, Emails Stars!
Here's what she's jamming on for free:
Workshop 1:
The Welcome Email Workshop - May 26 (THIS THURSDAY!)
Register here.
Learn how to capture the attention of your new subscribers right from that very first email. Plus, you’ll learn how many emails to send at first, how often, and what goes into nurturing new subscribers. (Note: I need to up my welcome sequence game 100%...I don't even know what my welcome email IS!!)
Workshop 2:
Successful Story-Driven Emails - May 31
Want to keep your subscribers hooked on your emails and looking forward to when they’ll hear from you next? This workshop teaches how to tell engaging stories that segue naturally into the sale, kind of like this email - where I began with a relatable story and segued into talking about this workshop series! (Pretty meta, huh?)
Workshop 3:
Metrics For Email Marketers - June 2
In the final workshop, Tarzan will walk you through her process for debriefing launches, showing you which metrics to track, what benchmarks to set, and how to debrief your own launches, so you know if you’re on the right track with your list. (Gimmie the metrics!!!)
Register for "The Email Workshops" here!
I'll be there with my bullet journal and pen (and bells on)...as it's time to up my email game!
Fun fact: I'm a partner for Tarzan. So if you sign up for The Email Workshops using this link, I'll receive a commission.
Zero bucks.
Wait what? $0?
Of course, it's free Reader!
Jokes aside, I am a partner and if you decided to join her paid program, Email Stars, down the line (and use my link) I will get a commission.
Note: Email Stars opens on June 9th and is $1500.
That being said, I only share programs that I know are legit and helpful, and I wanted to share Tarzan's free and paid offers with you because email is SO important to retention.
It's a key factor when crafting your onboarding experience for your memberships and communities, and I'm excited to learn from Tarzan myself.
And the final note...if you're not interested in joining Emails Stars, still come on out to the workshops. They are free and not your typical "let's read through slides for an hour" workshops.
It's an opportunity to WORK on your email...with friends (and the boss of Email herself).
See you this Thursday for "The Welcome Email" Workshop?
Hugs and burgers,
Diana

Hi Reader, I’ve been spinning my tires a bit for the past few months. I felt like I had SO many plates that I wanted to spin in the air, that I got overwhelmed at the thought of it and proceeded to just leave them stacked on the table. …only to stare at them and constantly think I should really start spinning them. F*ck anxiety! What’s helping me get out of this funk? A few things: 1. Connecting with friends. Seriously, we often will get so stuck in how we are doing and feeling that we close...
