spinning plates + hoodies

Hi Reader,

I’ve been spinning my tires a bit for the past few months.

I felt like I had SO many plates that I wanted to spin in the air, that I got overwhelmed at the thought of it and proceeded to just leave them stacked on the table.

…only to stare at them and constantly think I should really start spinning them.

F*ck anxiety!

What’s helping me get out of this funk? A few things:

1. Connecting with friends.

Seriously, we often will get so stuck in how we are doing and feeling that we close ourselves off a bit and rabbit away at home (especially if we work from home).

Just picking up the phone, sending a message or being more engaged online has made a huge difference. It’s like I just meerkat’ed above the anxiety sand and can finally see the forest for the trees.

2. All things Katya Varbanova.

Yup. If you don’t know her…she might just be the voice you need in your head more often.

Yesterday she dropped several FB posts that really resonated with me (another this morning) and made me feel WAY less alone.

So if you’re running an online business…go say hi to her. She’s amazing.

3. Sharing Bushra Azhar's upcoming challenge: The 60 Minute Business Challenge.

Bushra has a way of making business FUN/funny and I’ve needed a bit more laughs in business.

Sharing her challenge on social and with you is easing me back into a routine which feels hella good!

Note: Grab your free ticket here today and snag her $500 program Slay1k…also for free!

Not to mention I’m just freakin' excited for the challenge!

Bushra is going to be setting up 4 businesses from scratch and with me toying with 2 NEW business ideas…I wanna see how she does it!

Yup…one of the reasons I’ve been a bit Bambi in headlights as of late is cause I’ve bitten off a lot:

  1. I’m running my OG business: dianatower.com supporting amazing Membership Owners (like you) with Community Strategy, Retention and Community a management Training.
  2. I’m setting up a POD (print on demand) shop using Shopify and Printful to get Dave the Unicorn swag out there (first product?…HOODIES!!).
  3. I’m also mentally salivating over starting my own ceramics business and making hand made mugs.
  4. Aaaaaand I also signed up for a year of online art school.
  5. AND won a free membership to 21 Draw this year that I want to use to work on my character drawing.

Damn it…when when I write it out it really does sound overwhelming (not to mention all the other things you do on the daily...eat, sleep, cook, parent, workout) …BUT thanks to Katya’s post from yesterday…I’m ok with that feeling.

I’m accepting overwhelm, offering it a chair and a blankie and cuppa something yummy (maybe from one of my own hand made mugs?!!).

So anyhoo, that’s where I’m at today! How about you? How you doing?

OH and another HUGE help is the Productivity Planner by Intelligent Change!!

I had one a couple years ago and I remembered how productive and focused I felt while using it (funny how we stop doing things that make us feel so good).

So I got 4 more (they are 3 months at a time) and I just mapped out today and the rest of the week and wow. Getting things out of my head WORKS.

Here's my page from today...

They’ve made some awesome additions and changes and it’s even better than I remember!! If you're looking for a new planner. I highly recommend it!

So cheers to you! (Raise that glass...or limited edition Tower Mug?!! haha)

Cheers to ALLOWING our feelings and not trying to stuff them down (be it anxiety, overwhelm or anything else that doesn't feel great).

Cheers to being productive without going overboard.

Cheers to having a great day!

Hugs and burgers,

Diana

PS: If you've been wanting to reach out to inquire about getting support for your Community Strategy or training a Community Manager, I just set up a new form on my site here.

It walks you through some fun Qs (to help me better understand your biz, situation, + membership), then once you're done, I'll take a lookie-loo and circle back with you to share how I can best support you (DIY or 1on1).

Speaking of DIY offers...you can grab two right now.

No launch, no wait, and all the Community gold!

  • UniUDIY (on demand and ready for you here): Train yourself or your Community Manager...to manage your membership community like a unicorn (with a strategic focus on engagement and retention)!
    • Note: I don't have a fancy sales page for this course...it's a Google doc, but it gets the job done. ;)
  • The Membership Retention Kit that helps you assess and optimise your retention efforts, for less than the cost of a PILSKOTT lamp from Idea. (psss...under $100 dude.)

Hi Reader *Note: my last email had links that were wonky! Thanks Prescott for letting me know! The links in THIS email are correct!* What if I told you that you could sell more of your best offer (including your membership)? Without creating content for 6 different social platforms or spending more cash on Facebook ads? Would you roll your eye balls or would you lean in to hear more? If you scooted a little closer to your screen, I’m excited to introduce you to my good friend and - since last...
